About Fred
I'm Frederic von Keller — Fred to everyone here — the person behind this Pattaya real estate blog, living and working on the Eastern Seaboard since 2012.
I write the guides, share the local knowledge, and help buyers, renters and owners find the right property across Pattaya, Jomtien, Pratumnak, Wongamat and the villa country of East Pattaya and Huay Yai — in English, French, German or Spanish, whichever feels like home to you. The listings and sales themselves are handled by Alan Bolton Property Consultants, the licensed Pattaya agency I'm part of.
My story
The beginning
Born in Iran to a French family — my father was a hotel director, so I grew up inside grand hotels and across borders. Service isn't something I learned; it's how I was raised.
2000 — The French Navy
I joined the French Navy for my national service — one of the last draftees before conscription ended. I volunteered to extend, and served two deployments aboard the avisos Commandant Birot and Commandant Bouan, across the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.
Around the world
A career in hospitality took me across continents — including French Polynesia, where I lived and worked in Tahiti before Asia called.
2012 — Thailand
I moved to Thailand and never looked back. What was supposed to be a chapter became home.
Today — Pattaya
Married, a family man, and helping people from all over the world buy, sell and rent property on the Eastern Seaboard with Alan Bolton Property Consultants.
Why does a hospitality life matter in real estate? Because both are the same job at heart: listening carefully, being straight with people, and taking care of the details so the guest — or the buyer — doesn't have to worry. That's how my father ran his hotels, and it's how I help every reader who comes to this blog.
I'm a member of Alan Bolton Property Consultants — which also includes East Coast Real Estate — one of Pattaya's longest-established agencies, serving the Eastern Seaboard since 1987 with a database of more than 1,200 active listings. When you tell me what you're looking for, I'm not limited to what you see on this site: I can search the full agency database and the wider co-broke network to find it.

The rest of my free time usually involves my Royal Enfield, riding the coast road toward Bang Saray or looping Lake Mabprachan — which, conveniently, is also how I know every soi, shortcut and new project on the Eastern Seaboard before it hits any listing site.
